Why Hawaiian of course!
Friday PM: Let’s see your Hawaiian themed casual anything! (tank tops, shorts, casual dress, etc.) *for those of you booking a room on Friday.
Saturday AM: Neon or Hawaiian suits (pasties are not allowed)
Saturday PM: Hawaiian themed anything! Just no nudity or pasties as the hotel is still open to the public. While inside the ballroom your outfits can be pushing the normal limit (as we do :-)), please be sure to cover up to use the restrooms (as the rest of the hotel is open to the public).
FRIDAY, JUNE 2nd
Theme: Anything Hawaiian and on the casual side (Tempe style)
4:00pm: Check into your rooms (earlier if rooms are ready)
6:30pm: Meet at the entrance of Sonder to head out with others to eat.
The evening is yours to hit the town. Most likely Ethan and Jo will be heading back earlier than all of you to continue setting up.
SATURDAY, JUNE 3rd
Theme AM: Day – Neon or Hawaiian bathing suits (no pasties)
Theme PM: Anything Hawaiian; we’re in the ballroom
10:30am: Check-in Desk Open & pool party begins (please have your QR code available to scan)
11:00am: Pool Party Begins / DJ’s begin
2:00pm: Check-in Desk Closed (late arrivals FB Message Jo).
4:00pm: Poolside Entertainment
6:00pm: Pool Party portion ends
9:00pm: Ballroom opens (Late arrivals, check In desk will be just outside of it until 10:00pm)
2:00am: Ballroom closes
PLEASE READ WAIVER PRIOR TO TICKET PURCHASE! YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREED TO THEM AT THE EVENT!
-Tickets are $40/person (150 max available)
-Tickets are non-refundable 2 weeks prior to the event.
-MUST contact Jo if they need to cancel and want to transfer their tickets prior to 2 weeks.

Sonder has an entirely different room reservation system than any hotel we have used for our past events. Click on the below email for Kaleigh Carroll to reserve your room. You’ll need to include the below 4 questions/answers to her when emailing and she will reply back with what more is needed from you.
This IS THEIR process to receive the block rate of $95.00 + tax. All rooms reserved face the pool we are using. Not turnkey, but it is what it is.
In addition, once your room is reserved, keep your eyes out for a confirmation email. Sonder does not hand out room keys or have a hotel lobby that makes reservations. You’ll receive an email with a specific code for you to use to access your room and will only work on the dates you reserved.

You do not check in at Sonder. Everything is handled via online and your email. There are no door keys either! They will send you the door code that will work for the days you booked your room for. Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Since there is always new members, we added Friday @ 6:30pm to give everyone a chance to meet everyone before the actual day of the event! For this reason we are going out to eat somewhere casual and then out downtown if you’d like. Nothing is formally planned.
Absolutely nothing, just show up Saturday. Choice is yours.
You’ll only need transportation Friday evening if you are going out (Sonder is maybe a mile max away from Old Town). Everything on Saturday for the event, is at the hotel.
In order to keep the ticket price down, there will not be dinner provided.
Per the hotel and our contract, no. We have arranged for a cash bar to be poolside and in the ballroom. We are required to sell a certain amount during our event (As long as you have a couple orders poolside and a couple orders in the ballroom we should meet the requirement. If we don’t, it’s out of our own personal money to cover the difference, so PLEASE help us out.
Of course, HOWEVER, please follow the pool signs of hours and rules. For this single reason, we were not allowed back at this hotel for 4 years!!! Security will be keeping an eye out, so please respect the rules and remember, you are a part E&J Events and that WILL effect all future possible bookings for us there.
Sonder is set up very differently than other hotels. Everything is done online with your confirmation and door code for the days you are staying to your email. There are King bed rooms as well as Double Queen bed rooms.
NO NUDITY around the pool, hotel and ballroom.
There is a bar & restaurant inside the hotel.
Please make every attempt to NOT have security called on our group.
Please follow the posted pool rules.
The check in desk will be open from 10:30 – 2:00pm. If you arrive after then, text JO at (480) 703-1977 and someone will meet you in the lobby up until 4:00pm. Please make every attempt to be there prior to 4:00pm as there is a lot to do and she’ll be needed and pulled in many directions. It would be an amazing help!!!
No problem at all! Just see us at the registration desk WITH YOUR OLD ONE and we’ll switch it out for you. NO EXCEPTIONS!
NO! This event is meant to be relaxing and casual! Now, the ballroom portion, Hawaiian and whatever style you’d like.

Please read all of the below. There will be a sign in sheet to sign when you check to state that you have read and abide by all of the below. All of the below will be included in the QR Code you scan while checking in.
PLEASE NOTE: Hotel rules must be followed (EXAMPLE: no nudity poolside or entrance to it when closed). Behaviors over the past years events have gotten us blacklisted from them and mostly while we are all sleeping. As a result, we now are hiring security to troll the hotel even into the morning hours, which unfortunately, increases our ticket prices.
If you are caught by Security or if we receive a call from the hotel about breaking their hotel rules, you will be removed from the event and Blocked from attending any future E&J Events. This may be harsh, but it is very black and white for us now due to past behaviors while all of us are sleeping! Please THINK before you do something that will ruin it for all the others! Drunk or any type of intoxication is not an excuse.
In addition to the above, here are other areas to be sure to read & follow.
– MUST BE 21+ years of age and be prepared to produce an acceptable form of I.D. when asked.
– A physical print out of your confirmation email containing your ticket number, name and scan code assigned to you OR
– Your confirmation email on your phone that contains your ticket number, your name and scan code.
– Photo ID (US Drivers License or Passport) Good vibes and an open mind!
* PROHIBITED ITEMS:
– NO Illegal substances of any kind during our event location!
– NO Weapons of any kind!
* ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING DURING THE EVENT:
– NO Illegal substances or drugs of any kind are allowed or distribution of any kind are allowed during the Hawaiian Pool Party event.
– NO Weapons of any kind
– NO outside food or beverages (including alcohol) allowed poolside or in the ballroom.
– NO means NO. Do not assume, unless you ask & permission is given, that is considered unauthorized violation of a person’s boundaries.
– NO nudity in the pool, hotel or the ballroom.
– Not following the hotel rules (we do NOT want to be blacklisted for being in the pool area when it is closed, trashing of rooms, etc. as we have been in
the past)
***If for some reason you are found to be too intoxicated, and apparent that you could be a harm to yourself or disturb other attendees, you will be asked to remove yourself from the event location. Event staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone at any time. Be responsible and make smart choices.
SAFETY & MEDICAL:
E&J Events is dedicated to providing a safe and open environment for everyone attending. If you need assistance, please look for a security officer, the owners of E&J Events (Ethan & Jo) or Hotel/event locations staff to assist.
COVID: Please be aware Covid is not gone. While masks are not required, if you feel sick or have been around others that have had Covid within 10 days of our event, please stay at home to help protect the rest of us.
